This site is not anti-government. Not at all. This site is pro good government. Societies need government to function.
Citizens in free societies obey laws because they have faith that laws are enacted with a sense and tenor of fair play, logic, morality, and reason. Prudent and rational people only want to live free and peacefully, and they wish the same for others.
Prudent and reasonable people realize that the same law enforcement officers who would pull them over for speeding or driving while drinking alcohol would also put their butts on the line to save us from criminals and perv's who had invaded our homes.
So we obey the laws. We admit our mistakes when we've made them, and we take our licks if we've used bad judgment. That's the way it works. It's a simple deal.
But the no-smoke gangs don't care about fair play, honesty, logic, morality, or reason. They never have. They are purposely and willfully divisive, and it's ok by them. We find their actions appalling.
When citizens begin to not respect the rule of law the fabric of our country(ies) begins to fall apart. That's bad for all of us.
But the no-smoke zealots don't care. They're out of control, an they've lost perspective. Drug addicts feel a false sense of drama and enlightenment via injecting drugs into their veins, even to the demise of themselves and to those around them. The no-smoke slobs have found a false sense of drama and a way to get people to pay attention to them - even to the demise of freedom - via injecting a false sense of drama into their lives by demanding enforcement of lies and tyranny upon entire populaces.
Hence, our use of the words "anti-freedom," "fascist," "slob," "un-American," "zealot," and others on this website.
Smoking bans are oppressive government. They are anti-freedom. They're not necessary.
They are bad government.
